ఉద్దేశ్యం:
హోమియోపతికి విశేష ప్రచారము కల్పించడం, ప్రజలలో అవగాహన పెంపొందించడం, హోమియోపతికి సంబంధించి ఎవరి దగ్గర ఎటువంటి కొత్త ఆలోచన ఉన్నా స్వీకరించడం, పరిశోధన జరపడం వంటివి హోమియోపతి దినోత్సవం (World Homeopathy Day) యొక్క ముఖ్య ఉద్దేశాలు.

ఏప్రిల్‌ 10‌ నే ఎందుకు?
జర్మనీ వైద్యుడు, హోమియోపతి వ్యవస్థాపకుడు, హోమియోపతి పితామహుడైన క్రిస్టియన్‌ ‌ఫ్రెడరిక్‌ ‌శామ్యూల్‌ ‌హనీమాన్‌ (Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann) 10 ఏప్రిల్‌ 1755 న జన్మించాడు. 
హనీమాన్‌ జ్ఞాపకార్థం ప్రతి సంవత్సరం ఏప్రిల్‌ 10‌ న ప్రపంచ హోమియోపతి దినోత్సవం జరుపుకుంటారు.

హోమియోపతి:
  • హోమియోపతి ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రాచుర్యంలో ఉన్న ఒక వైద్య పద్ధతి.
  • హోమియోపతీ అన్నది హోమోయిస్ (Homoios) (ఒకే రకమైన), పేథోస్ (Pathos) (బాధ, రోగ లక్షణం) అనే రెండు గ్రీకు పదాల నుండి ఉద్భవించింది. దీనిని తెలుగులో సారూప్య లక్షణ వైద్యం అనొచ్చు.
  • ఒక పదార్థం ఏ బాధని కలిగిస్తుందో, ఆ బాధని నివారించటానికి అదే పదార్థాన్ని మందుగా వాడాలి అన్నది హోమియోపతీ మూల సూత్రం. అంటే ఏ ఔషదమైతే ఆరోగ్యవంతునిలో ఒక వ్యాధి లక్షణాలను కలుగజేస్తుందో, ఆ లక్షణాలున్న వ్యాధికి ఆ ఔషదం ఇచ్చినప్పుడు వ్యాధి నయమవుతుంది.
  • ఈ వైద్య పద్ధతిని క్రిస్టియన్‌ ‌ఫ్రెడరిక్‌ ‌శామ్యూల్‌ ‌హనీమాన్‌ (10 April 1755 - 2 July 1843) అనే జర్మనీ దేశపు వైద్యుడు కనిపెట్టాడు. ఈ వైద్య విధానికి హోమియోపతిగా నామకరణం చేశాడు.
  • ఈయన మొట్టమొదటి సారిగా 1796 లో జర్మన్ భాషా వైద్య పత్రికలో హోమియోపతి విధానం గురించి ఒక కథనాన్ని ప్రచురించాడు.

క్రిస్టియన్‌ ‌ఫ్రెడరిక్‌ ‌శామ్యూల్‌ ‌హనీమాన్‌

మరికొన్ని అంశాలు:
  • వైద్య విధానాలలో అల్లోపతి (Allopathy) అనే ఆధునిక వైద్యం (Modern Medicine) మొదటి స్థానం ఆక్రమించింది. దాని తర్వాత హోమియోపతి వైద్యం 2వ స్థానంలో ఉంది. WHO ‌హోమియోపతి వైద్యాన్ని రెండవ అతి పెద్ద వైద్య విధానంగా గుర్తించింది. 
  • నవీన వైద్య విధానము (Allopathy) వారు మాత్రము హోమియోపతి పైన తమ అభ్యంతరాలు చెపుతూనే ఉన్నారు. త్వరిత గతిన వ్యాధులను నివారించాలంటే నవీన వైద్య విధానమే మేలని వారు చెబుతారు.
  • హోమియోపతీ వైద్యం, మందులు (భారత దేశంలో) బాగా చౌక. ఇంగ్లీషు మందులతో పోల్చి చూసినా, ఆయుర్వేదం మందులతో పోల్చి చూసినా ఈ వైద్యం భారతదేశంలో చౌకే. కనుక బీదవారికి అందుబాటులో ఉన్న పద్ధతి ఇది.
  • హోమియోపతీ మందులు హాని చెయ్యవు. ఒక వేళ సరి అయిన మందు పడక పోతే గుణం కనిపించదు తప్ప, హాని ఉండదు.
  • హోమియోపతికి విశేష ప్రచారము కల్పించడంకోసం ఈ దినోత్సవం రోజున ప్రత్యేక అవగాహన కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహిస్తారు. సదస్సులు, సమావేశాలు నిర్వహించి హోమియోపతికి సంబంధించి కొత్త ఆలోచనలు ఆహ్వానిస్తారు. పరిశోధనలు జరుపుతారు.
